Expensive but nice for V-brakes, July 4, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Paul Components Cross Lever (Misc.) Before you order, I recommend that you check the description on Paul's website. These levers are available with different clamp sizes.
As far as I know, these levers are the only cross top levers available for v-brakes. Since they are pretty expensive, it's nice that you can use them for cantis, too, by adjusting the pivot bolt. Apparently you can use them as normal brake levers as well. When I got mine, they were set-up for cantis, and I had to change the pivot. Unfortuantely you'll need c-clip pliers to do this. I did it without and badly bent my c-clips. You are probably just going to do this once (if at all), but I still think it could have been designed a bit more user-friendly.
With regards to the function, I have no complaints whatsoever. The levers look nice (I don't think that way about all Paul components, and I do think that the logo is ugly), and they are easy to grip and pull. They feel very solid; there's not much movement in directions there... Read more
