Feedback Sports Sport-Mechanic Repair Stand (Black) Reviews
15 of 16 people found the following review helpful Quality design, quality product., February 19, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase I have been looking at many different bike repair stands for 6 months now. I wanted to be able to easily work on my bike without setting it upside down to work on it. This was my answer.
I looked at many different stands that cost less than $150 including Park Tools, Sette, and others. This was actually the last one I found, but liked it the most for several reasons.
-The tripod base: The tripod base is much more stable than the type with only two legs. This thing has a huge footprint, keeping it very stable.
-Adjust-ability: Has a wide range of heights you can choose from; from down low all the way the where the bottom bracket sits up to chest height.
-Quality design: The overall design is quality built. From the thick aluminum tubes to the heavy duty screw type clamp. It feels very solid and will be able to take some good wrenching. I feels as though it will have not problem holding the bike still even for bottom bracket bearing service/removal.

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful Best Stand for the Money!, November 3, 2011 By Adrian T (ARLINGTON, TEXAS, US) - See all my reviews I've had this stand for a while now... The brand stamped on my stand is Ultimate which was acquired by Feedback Sports. This is the exact same model, and is very durable. The best news of all, is that the company has a great website in which you can order replacement parts in the event that something was to break or wear out. Very helpful thoughtful company that caters to your needs. I would recommend this stand for anyone who has a bike and likes to do their own work. I've been very satisfied with it.
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful It's an adequate stand, but there are a few annoyances, August 17, 2011 By This review is from: Feedback Sports Sport Mechanic Bicycle Repair Stand (Misc.) I purchased this stand from a local bike shop. It was recommended over the park tool home repair stand. After owning this stand for several months, I wish I had gone with the park tool PCS-10 instead. It's a good stand, but I think there are better options at the same price point.
Here's Why:
1. The fold down arm that holds the bike tends to rotate easily, no matter how much it is tightened. You can only hand tighten it with a large plastic knob on the back, I always feel like I'm going to break that knob.
2. The clamp that holds the bike at the end of the arm requires you to twist a knob to adjust, rather than the park tool stand which uses a cam style quick release clamp to quickly clamp your bike secure.
3. The base is super stable due to the wide tripod, however, it takes up a lot of room in my small bike storage and repair area due to the wider footprint.
I'm going to get by with this stand for a while, and then ultimately sell it so that... Read more
