I chose this for my 7 year old daughter, because of the low frame.
My 9 year old got a beach cruiser 2 years ago and it is heavy, rather cheaply built and already falling apart. She also had problems with the higher cross bar when she needed to hop off the bike quickly.
So, for our 2nd daughter, I was searching for a more European girl's style and this was the only one I could find. At first, I wasn't sure about the high price, but was hoping that it would be good quality and gave it a try.
It is very strong and well built, went together in a snap and is still much lighter than the beach cruiser of my 9 year old. My 7 year old hopped on and off without issues and loves her new bike.
Even the fenders are very sturdy and won't bend easily. This bike also has front and rear hand brakes, which I prefer, not the peddle brake. I just wish they would add a rear rack, as it is not really safe to... Read more

It comes with tools and a carrying bag for the back but we took it off so the seat could adjust lower and the handle bars tilt as well. My daughter just turned six but tall for her age. The price was great and my father says "This bike is a piece of art". We couldn't be happier and I think she will be riding this till at least age twelve.

Ferrari Bike, August 16, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Ferrari CX-31 20-Inch Girls' Bike (Sports) I found this bike to be beautiful but there are several things that I found to be of poor quality. First of all, the bike it's made in China which proves a great deal of disappointment! Second, the bike brakes are loud even-after it's been broken-in! Third, the wheels are so off balance which causes a lot of noise and vibration. The Bike looks nice, the color, the look in general but all of those things that I have pointed out only proves that the Chinese made bikes are not worth the paying big bucks. When buying an expensive bike next time,I will do my homework and not get a surprise that I've paid for something that was manufactured in China!!!!!!!
